Not only does Comarco invest in the community, it also invests in its employee’s. The Fenton office spent time at Gateway Escape Rooms recently for a team building exercise in search of good friend Smilin' Jimmy.
After our Columbia office tried their hand at escaping Room 13, the Fenton team members joined in the fun and were on the search for their good friend, ““Smilin’ Jimmy” Pagano, a small-time crook with a big heart”. Trying to solve the “Murder in the Man Cave” mystery required close observation to details, problem-solving, logic and plenty of cooperation within our teams. Let’s just say, some of us found our good friend “Smilin’ Jimmy” and some of us left him for the guys up in Chicago…
Afterwards we all headed over to Shogun Japanese Restaurant for some hibachi style cooking and entertainment. Fun times were had working together outside of the office! Read More
Bill Stethem started Comarco 28 years on the foundation of family, faith and community involvement. He had a passion for helping others and volunteered his time to several community organizations. In keeping with Bill’s passion after his passing, Comarco has re-dedicated its’ involvement in the community. This year, Comarco will be encouraging our employees to get involved by offering them paid time off to volunteer.
The first volunteer opportunity this year saw 4 of our employee’s head to “Feed My People” in High Ridge to provide them with new shelving. The new shelving was requested in order to provide more space and functionality to help with the donations they receive. With the new shelving in place, this has allowed the volunteers at Feed My People to serve the community better. Allowing them to focus their energy on helping those in need and not on the storage of the donations received.
With this new initiative in place, we will be giving our employees many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. If you are involved in an organization that is looking for volunteers, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. You can call our office at 636-305-0520 and ask for Lori and she will be able to assist you.
It seems the idea of the "smart lock" is not a new concept. Check out this 340 year old lock...pretty impressive considering it was made almost 100 years before the declaration of independence was signed! Read More
After waking up in Room 13 of a 1970’s motel room and not remembering how they got there, the Comarco-Columbia team knew they wanted one thing…to get out as quickly as possible. After finding out they had just 60 minutes to accomplish this, they all teamed together to try and find the escape route. Some looked for clues while others tried solving the puzzles already in front of them, each clue leading to another puzzle. Getting closer with every clue they knew they had to be getting close to escaping. They eventually were able to solve the last few puzzles in the room and thought they were getting close, until the last clue in the room led them into an adjoining room with only 15 minutes left. With so little time left to escape they knew they were doomed. Keeping their spirits up though, the team continued to communicate and work together to try and avoid being trapped in Room 13 forever.
